Privacy
What Yummy keeps, who can see it, and how to delete it.
Who can see what
The food spots you save stay on your To-Bee list. Nobody else sees them.
Shared lists are seen only by the people on them. Anyone with a list’s link can join it. Before someone joins, the invite page shows the list name, up to three spots, how many spots and people are on it, and the first letters of their names. It shows nothing else.
What we collect
- What you save.
- The links you share to Yummy, and what Honey finds from them: the place’s name, address, area and a photo thumbnail.
- An install ID.
- A random ID on your phone that keeps your saves safe and brings them back on a new phone.
- Your account, if you make one.
- Your email, or the email Apple or Google shares with us, and the name you pick. You don’t need an account to save spots. You need one for shared lists.
- Your lists.
- The lists you create or join, their names, the people on them and their spots.
- A notification token, if you allow notifications.
- So we can tell you when a spot is found or a list has news.
- Usage and crash reports.
- Which actions people take and when the app crashes. These never include what you saved, searched, asked Honey or named a list.
Your location
Yummy uses your location on your phone to show distances and what’s near you. We don’t store it. You can turn it off in iOS Settings at any time.
How Honey finds a place
When you share a video, our servers open its public link, look at its pictures, caption and spoken words, and match what they find to a real place. An AI model does the looking. The match uses a maps service for the place’s name, address and photos.
Honey
Honey’s answers come from an AI model. We never save your conversations with Honey, ever.
Who helps us run Yummy
We use a few companies to run Yummy. Each gets only what its job needs:
- Our cloud provider runs Yummy’s servers and storage, sends sign-in emails, and runs the AI models that find places and answer you as Honey.
- A web access service opens the public video links you share, so our servers can read them.
- A maps service supplies place names, addresses and photos.
- Apple and Google handle sign-in when you choose them.
- A notification service delivers Yummy’s notifications to your phone.
- An analytics service and a crash-reporting service receive the usage and crash reports described above.
What we don’t do
Yummy shows no ads, and we don’t sell your data.
These web pages set no cookies and run no analytics script.
On an invite page, tapping a button copies the invite link to your clipboard. The app uses it to take you to the list after you install. Nothing else is copied or read.
How long we keep it
Your saves and lists stay until you delete them or delete your account.
Results of finds are kept for up to 180 days, and failed finds for 30 days.
Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. A signed-in phone stays signed in for up to 180 days.
Your choices
- Delete your account.
- In the app (Settings, then Account), or on this page. Your saved spots, lists and Been history are deleted for good. Shared lists stay with everyone else on them.
- Saves from before you signed in.
- These belong to your phone, not your account, and stay when you delete the account. Email honey@yummybee.ai and we’ll remove them too.
- Permissions.
- Location and notifications can be switched off in iOS Settings. Yummy never asks for your contacts.
If you’re in the EU, the UK or Switzerland
- Who is responsible.
- Yesh Studios LLC is responsible for your data (the “controller”). Write to honey@yummybee.ai.
- Why we use it.
-
- To run Yummy for you: saving spots, finding places, your lists, your account and the notifications you turn on. We need this data to provide the service you asked for.
- Usage and crash reports, and stopping abuse: our legitimate interest in keeping Yummy working and safe. You can object at any time by emailing us, and we’ll stop collecting yours.
- Location and notifications: only with the permission you give in iOS. You can take it back in iOS Settings.
- Where it’s processed.
- Yummy’s servers are in the United States, and so are most of the companies that help us run it. When your data leaves the EU, the UK or Switzerland, it is covered by the safeguards in those companies’ data protection terms, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Your rights.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to get a copy of it, or to limit or object to how we use it. For a copy, use Export my data in the app (Settings, then Account). For anything else, email honey@yummybee.ai and we’ll answer within a month. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
